I started out in my garage, like many other small businesses. Beginning with just pint glasses, I sandblasted each piece by hand in a small cabinet. Well, it didn't take long to realize that people were excited about what I could offer. Because of the demand, we had to make the leap and move into laser etching the glassware to keep up with volume.
Within a year, I was too busy to hold down a full time desk job, grow our small business and spend time with family. So I took the leap and left my day job of 17 years to pursue my passion for making gifts. After hearing feedback at craft shows and online orders I started introducing new types of drinkware like wine and whiskey glasses. The small, one car garage, got to be very cramped.
This lead me to get a studio at the Shirt Factory in Glens Falls, New York. The Shirt Factory is a great collection of studios filled with other makers and artists. It's also in our hometown not far from where we live. Staying in Glens Falls was important.
With this larger space, I am now running multiple laser machines and I can offer many types of drinkware. This also allows me to have a showroom for people to stop in. My catalog is large, but my showroom is not. I encourage you to order online and pick up in store. Or stop in and place your order.
Just drinkware you ask?
For the most part, yes. I believe that doing one thing really well is better than doing a lot of different things just okay. Besides, there are other great small businesses in the area that offer things like trophies, plaques, etc. There's no need for me to infringe on their business.
I am currently expanding my offerings to include other items. You will be seeing those soon on our website.
